Required items
30 wood- for the wrecked Jack Fate - Island Trolls drop it
shovel- for the stone pile on the way to the black sheep- Complete first: Pirate / Meriana
Chondur lives on Meriana - the Pirate / Meriana quest gives the trip there. A dead sheep weighs 700 oz, so you need free capacity.
Start: The Liberty Bay temple. Show on the map
Shipwrecked on Goroma
We set out from the temple in Liberty Bay to the harbour, to
Jack Fate. We ask for a passage to Thais and, after his warning about storms, say yes once more. About one such trip in eight ends with a shipwreck on the volcanic island of Goroma - we keep trying until it happens.
Jack Fate Player: hi
Jack Fate: Welcome on board, Sir Player.
Player: thais
Player: yes
Jack Fate: I have to warn you - we might get into a tropical storm on that route. I'm not sure if my ship will withstand it. Do you really want to travel to Thais?
Player: yes
On the wreck the shipwrecked Jack Fate asks for help: we say passage and yes twice. He needs exactly 30
wood - the Island Trolls running around the island took it. With the wood we say passage and yes again. From now on Jack Fate in Liberty Bay takes us to Goroma for 500 gp (goroma), and from the wreck we get back to Liberty Bay with passage.
Jack Fate Dragha's spellbook
From the wreck we go down a trapdoor to the shore and walk west to a muddy hole in the ground. Below, right in front of a sparkling energy barrier, lies the body of Chondur's apprentice. We take the spellbook from it - every character can do this once.
spellbookbarrier Note: without Chondur's ritual the barrier throws us back to the east.
Chondur's ritual
The shaman
Chondur has a hut in the north of Meriana (the trip with the password peg leg). We give him the spellbook, then ask for a counterspell and say yes twice. For the ritual he wants, in this order: a fresh dead chicken, a rat and a black sheep.
Chondur Player: hi
Chondur: Be greeted, child.
Player: spellbook
Chondur: Ah, thank you very much! I'll honour his memory.
Player: counterspell
Chondur: You mean, you are interested in a counterspell to cross the energy barrier on Goroma?
Player: yes
Chondur: This is really not advisable. Behind this barrier, strong forces are raging violently. Are you sure that you want to go there?
Player: yes
Chondur: I guess I cannot stop you then. Since you told me about my apprentice, it's my turn to help you. I'll perform a ritual for you, but I need a few ingredients. ...
Chondur: Bring me one fresh dead chicken, one fresh dead rat and one fresh dead black sheep, in that order.
Note: until we hand over the book, Chondur refuses to talk about the counterspell.
Chickens run around Sabrehaven, and rats in the north of the island, on the way to Chondur's hut. Black sheep graze in a hidden pen east of Liberty Bay: we dig open a stone pile north of town with a shovel, follow an underground tunnel and climb a ladder into the valley with the pen. The bodies stay fresh for 20 minutes (chicken, rat) and 30 minutes (sheep).

Black Sheep
Note: Novices of the Cult roam the underground tunnel.
We return to Meriana and hand in the bodies in the given order - each time counterspell and yes. After the third one Chondur completes the ritual.
Player: counterspell
Chondur: Did you bring the fresh dead chicken?
Player: yes
Chondur: Very good! <mumblemumble> 'Your soul shall be protected!' Now, I need a fresh dead rat.
Player: counterspell
Chondur: Did you bring the fresh dead rat?
Player: yes
Chondur: Very good! <chants and dances> 'You shall face black magic without fear!' Now, I need a fresh dead black sheep.
Player: counterspell
Chondur: Did you bring the fresh dead black sheep?
Player: yes
Chondur: Very good! <stomps staff on ground> 'EVIL POWERS SHALL NOT KEEP YOU ANYMORE! SO BE IT!'
Through the barrier
We sail with Jack Fate to Goroma (goroma, 500 gp) and go back to the barrier. Now it lets us through to the west. A few steps further a rope takes us up to the volcanic part of the island, full of Fire Elementals, Stone Golems and scorpions.

Tips
It is easiest to get the black sheep first (the heaviest and the longest fresh), and to hunt the chicken and the rat on Meriana just before talking to Chondur.
Keep the bodies in your backpack or hands - Chondur does not take them from the floor.
Based on our 8.0 quest notes (TibiaWiki 2006-2008, recordings) and the chests on our map.
